Position Overview

Oticon is seeking Consumer Marketing and Public Relations Manager. The Consumer Marketing and PR Manager will assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the marketing of the organization’s products and services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate associates.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the marketing release for new products, including sales force, dispenser and consumer preparation, and launch inventory.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates market plans for consumer marketing activities.
  • Manages Public Relations for all products and general company PR.
  • Manages promotional budgets.
  • Trains sales force and dispensers on end user promotional programs for products.
  • Coordinates consumer marketing and PR programs.
  • Working with consumer agency on research/testing new concepts & channels
  • Reviewing all consumer marketing campaigns/assets
  • Responsible for the communication plan to staff & customers
  • Responsible for content review and approvals
  • Developing PR calendar
  • Monitory the program execution, tracking, and reimbursement of consumer and PR marketing activities.
  • Monitoring / tracking of PR initiatives/campaigns
  • Implementing all Oticon initiatives (Launches, People First Activities, VA, Peds, etc)
  • Responsible for content review and approvals
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and consultative skills over the phone and face to face.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal; ability to write, edit and proofread to professional standard
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, corporate marketing, sales team and vendors/ad agencies.
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups to customers.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time.
  • Knowledgeable of campaign tracking/measurement reporting tools.

Education And/Or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or marketing
  • Experience selling or marketing in the healthcare industry is preferred.
  • Corporate Communications Experience required
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of business experience, preferably medical or consumer marketing, or a combination of education and experience, with exposure to production, quality control, research & development.
  • Retail experience and/or experience working with ad agencies preferred
  • Previous experience working with marketing plans/direct mail campaigns and with vendors/agencies (face to face and remotely) is preferred.
