Overview

The Director of Talent Acquisition will define new strategies and tactics for identifying, engaging, and hiring the best talent across all businesses and functions. He or she will also be responsible for managing a team, driving talent acquisition, focusing on our branding, candidate experience, interviewer training, diversity hiring, internship programs, hiring metrics, sourcing strategies, career fairs, and more. The director will work closely with hiring managers and senior leaders to determine needs, align innovative recruiting strategies, measure and deliver results within in the Hearing Healthcare Industry. The Director of Talent Acquisition reports to the VP of HR in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Align with Business leaders on recruitment strategies, dashboard and playbook to drive effective outreach and selection to fill open positions
  • Manage recruitment team to ensure alignment of process and tight collaboration with field leaders in filling vacancies and sourcing for Audiologist talent
  • Assess and propose budget related to systems, job boards, licenses, vendors, and tools recruiters need to be most effective in their regions
  • Work with HR and line leaders to drive effective interviewing approaches to vet candidates against critical competencies
  • Measure and analyze data and make course corrections and/or recommendations to improve department performance on cost, time and quality of fills
  • Evaluate and propose strategies around recruiting through various social media outlets
  • Drive compliance and adherence to process around policies and systems for compliant reporting on applicant tracking and dispositioning of candidates
  • Drive a culture and mentality of continuous outreach and partnering with the line leaders on their staffing needs and progress of recruitment activities
  • Transform team from back office to professional representatives of the company
  • Identify creative regional outreach solutions like, open houses, university engagement, and career fairs to network and engage with licensed dispensers and Audiologist graduates
  • Think creatively on branding and messaging to the external market to best represent the group and attract talent
  • Execute approvals and initiate offer letters, and appropriate documentation and notification to close the requisition and start the employee
  • Partner with HR and leaders on market conditions, compensation and reputation in the market place.
  • Lead employment branding initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in HR and talent acquisition and at least 4 years managing people
  • Proven ability at building strong relationships with business leaders
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills; along with significant influence/negotiating skills.
  • Experience running a recruitment team and being a collaborative leader.
  • Experience mentoring and developing a team, leading through vision and values
  • Experience in a broad spectrum of direct sourcing methodologies (including passive sourcing); proven track record sourcing and hiring passive candidates.
  • Analytical and Critical Thinker with ability to build and monitor dashboards
  • Advanced level experience in use of Applicant Tracking systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to shift priorities quickly
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to drive employee performance by coaching and developing staff
  • Strong Team member and leader
