  • Overview

    Oticon Inc. is seeking an energetic and creative Logistics Manager to support a multi-site manufacturing organization. This individual would be part of a Logistic Team with their “can do” mentality they will facilitate reducing purchasing cost for the organization as well supervise logistic functions such as; mailroom, receiving, and credit returns.


    Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Performs manpower planning and provide for adequate staff, including hiring and discharging staff
    • Monitors and maintains staff attendance records; schedules and completes periodic performance evaluations
    • Coordinates the S&OP process, develops productions forecast and materials buying plans
    • Oversees inventory control activities including management of items stored at offsite facilities
    • Develops, implements and maintains standard operating procedures for area of responsibility
    • Identify ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency as well as cost savings in all areas of responsibility.
    • Places orders for parts and materials for DGS operations and tracks orders from order initiation to receipt
    • Prepares purchase orders or bid requests
    • Coordinates the supplier selection and evaluation process
    • Approves invoices for payment
    • Manages 3PL contracts





    • Bachelor Degree (i.e. Business or Supply Chain preferred); or 5 years + of experience in a manufacturing and/or international logistics experience.
    • Experience supporting the medical device industry and exposure to US Customs (import/export), FDA, MDSAP, ISO and C-TPAT regulations and requirements.
    • Must have 3+ years of direct supervising experience.
    • Additional requirements are good analytical thinking, excellent communication and organizational skills. Must also possess a high level of initiative and drive towards results.
    • This position also requires strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office. Exposure to Microsoft Dynamic NAV is preferred.
