Responsibilities of the Cash Application Specialist include preparation of the daily cash deposit and the application of customer payments, in a manner that will provide for accurate and timely positing to the assigned accounts receivable.
Applies the company’s accounting and credit practices and procedures to the assigned duties of cash application
Scans checks through Remote Deposit Scanner for deposit
Applies customer’s payments to their accounts per their remittance
Balances and reconciles daily work and prepares the daily reports in regards to the deposit and application
Maintains working relationship with operating personnel in the accounts receivable department as it pertains to the proper application of cash and account maintenance
May perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1-2 years account receivable experience preferred, familiarity with general accounting/bookkeeping experience.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (AX, Navision) preferred
Proficient with Windows, MS Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
Proven ability to manage workload efficiently to meet daily and month end deadlines through strong time management and organizational skills.
Overtime may be required to meet business demands.
Strong communication skills with ability to work cooperatively in a team atmosphere
