  • Overview

    This position will be responsible for managing and directing all field sales activities in order to exceed unit and revenue targets for Bernafon and other WD brands in big box retail (Costco) and emerging channels for a designated region in the US. The AM will also review market situations to determine customer needs, sales opportunities and threats from competition. Individual will manage performance of Costco Hearing Aid Centers and other emerging channels, so that territory over-delivers overall corporate sales target and goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Grow, develop and protect WD brands in the Costco Channel and emerging channels in their region, to meet and exceed WD sales goals
    • Create sustainable, fruitful relationships with key contacts at all Costco Hearing Aid Center locations – including Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Specialists in the territory to stimulate and generate new and ongoing product sales
    • Develop relationships with key Costco employees involved in Costco’s Hearing Aid business beyond local audiologists and hearing aid specialists including Warehouse managers, Regional Managers, and other Audiology personnel
    • Educate and train customers on WD products and fitting software
    • Recommend product fitting advice to fitters, in order to enable excellent patient experience
    • Document and communicate all aspects of customer visits and phone calls
    • Work with Director of Sales to develop and coordinate sales strategies and plans, and forecast and budget territory sales, to exceed key performance targets
    • Build strong team relationships and openly communicate on best practices to drive sales
    • Follows WD sales excellence model
    • Prepare and deliver regional activity sales reports
    • Develop new market opportunities (as appropriate)
    • Attend internal training meetings and events with fellow Account Managers as requested by Director of Sales
    • Perform all other related duties as required and requested

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or HIS Certification required.
    • Masters/Aud.D.Degree-- Audiology preferred
    • Three or more years' hearing industry or medical device sales
    • Expertise in product knowledge, related products and patient facilitation skills
    • Thorough audiological knowledge
    • Strong interpersonal skills to persuade and build rapport and confidence with customers and co-workers
    • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and demanding work environment where strong organizational, active listening, effective communication, and multi-tasking skills are required
    • Work is generally of a complex, critical and/or confidential nature where a positive attitude, independent action, and a high degree of initiative are essential
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Extensive travel required (80%)
    • Effective time management skills
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to type on a computer keyboard
