  • Overview

     

    This position will be responsible for leading the management and execution of all marketing activities for the Bernafon brand and Special Projects in the US. As the Marketing Manager this person will deliver integrated marketing activities and solutions across multiple vehicles (digital, print, in-store, events and others) across B2C/B2B environments to drive unit and revenue targets for Bernafon and other WD brands in big box retail (Costco) and emerging channels. The role will also work in partnership with multiple stakeholders to review market dynamics to determine consumer/customer needs in order to optimize marketing effectiveness.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the localization and execution of brand marketing activities for the Bernafon brand in the United States
    • Work directly with internal and external creative agencies to deliver high quality commercial deliverables
    • Develop and roll out Bernafon retail marketing deliverables for Costco and other customers
    • Ensure marketing spend is kept within approved Bernafon marketing budget. Measure impact of marketing vehicles (KPIs, ROI)
    • Enable the Bernafon sales force to drive results that Bernafon and WD market share within key customers and the US market in general
    • Leverage HQ marketing strategy to drive the development and execution of marketing strategies to grow the company’s position in the US market
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute effective marketing and sales plans related to business segment / product focus (promotions, pricing, print, digital and other marketing vehicles)
    • Develop insights into US customers’ products and services needs in order to provide effective inputs for marketing portfolio planning process 
    • Support impactful launch of new products in the US and provide appropriate inputs internationally
    • Engage in the development of communication with the US Sales team regarding company strategies, product launches and other key initiatives
    • Support sales efforts by participating in sales activities aimed at converting, growing or retaining key customers
    • Partner with Professional Education & Tradeshow team to build promotional plans around key events and provide on-site support
    • Work collaboratively with other functional areas to ensure business issues are addressed
    • Ensure strong alignment around company’s business objectives, key strategies, and execution of business plan
    • Support key initiatives in the Americas region including collaborating with key stakeholders across multiple functions and HQ leadership organizations, implementing cross-selling partnerships with other WD companies, developing strategic alliances with external partners, developing new product communication strategy to upgrade customers to new technologies and drive discontinuation of older products
    • Nurture strong relationships between marketing and sales teams
    • Ensure the company is focused on meeting customer’s need and be a positive agent for change within the organization 

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. An MBA is preferred
    • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant marketing experience is required.
    • A minimum of 2 years’ progressive business experience is required in any of the following areas:Marketing, Medical Device Product Development, R&D, Medical Device Sales,or a combination of Sales and Marketing
    • Experience across both B2B (medical device or other healthcare regulated) and B2C (consumer environments) is highly preferable
    • Manage multiple projects with various degrees of complexity and ambiguity
    • Demonstrated success in project management, planning and execution required
    • Demonstrated strategic and analytical capabilities required
    • Demonstrated financial agility is required (KPIs, ROI, budgeting)
    • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate with broader marketing, operations, legal, finance, and regulatory organizations in a global, matrixed environment is required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication / presentation skills are required
    • Demonstrated experience managing marketing suppliers and agencies a plus
    • The ability to work in a hand’s on, fast paced, customer focused environment and have a thirst for learning new things is required
    • 2-4 years’ experience working with big box retailers (Costco/Sam’s), drug/pharmacies and/or mass merchandise channels is highly desired

    This position requires up to 20% domestic travel, some international travel including occasional weekends
