    E3 is a continuously developing distribution business with headquarter in Chicago, and local sales offices in 38 locations around the nation. The Staff Accountants responsibility is to ensure records in the ERP system are maintained daily, working closely with AR, AP, Sales Coordinators and the field, to assure correct split of revenue and expenses between the individual sales offices P&L’s.


    • Maintain daily records in ERP system.
    • Prepare and/or review journal entries to support accurate and timely accounting month-end close.
    • Prepare and/or review account reconciliations. Research exceptions and coordinate with other department such as IT, Accounting, Finance, and Account Management groups to resolve issues
    • Perform advanced analysis of data used to record AR transactions, as well as, create reporting on current balances and AR KPI’s
    • Partner with payables and receivables teams to resolve accounting issues and questions. Optimizing processes to improve efficiency
    • Assist the Finance Manager with needed financial data for the business.
    • Prepare general bonus calculations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
    • Assist in distributing financial data to the field, such as AR aging and inventory ledgers.
    • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as required.




    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 2-3 years’ experience or 5+ years bookkeeping experience
    • Previous experience in a fast-paced, continually changing/growing environment with proven ability to adapt and learn to support the business.
    • Previous experience in a shared-service environment a plus.
    • Proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Manipulation and creation of Pivot Tables and utilization of V-Lookups & Sum-Ifs)
    • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • External and internal customer service orientation relating to a shared service environment.
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities –projects, resource, budgetary and operational planning, with string goal definition/desired results skills.
    • Strong research and analytical skills.
    • Detail oriented, with impeccable follow through.
    • Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
