    Fast-paced Research and Development department seeking an individual desiring the day to day activities of working for a medical device manufacturer within the discipline of software testing. This position will work closely with software developers, software testers and other internal departments testing the software of Audiometry and Tympanometry products.


    • Participate in Verification and Validation activities related to product development (hardware, firmware and software)
    • Work with software developers in understanding customer requirements.
    • Plan, design and execute test cases and test protocols.
    • Report testing results and document problems identified during testing (into a bug tracking database).
    • Monitors and updates bug reports as needed including bug report closure.
    • Able to methodically produce and document the steps which exhibit bugs in the product and be able to reproduce and communicate the necessary steps.
    • Produce documentation to satisfy internal development procedures, FDA or regulatory quality system requirements.
    • Takes initiative in gaining in-depth experience and skills in areas of technology relevant to testing and maintaining of company products.
    • Analyze, troubleshoot and set up test environments for troubleshooting product issues.
    • Evaluate new components and update designs as necessary to allow continued production of products while understanding impacts on industry standard that apply to the product (e.g., safety, EMC, audiometer, etc.)
    • Root cause analysis of customer and manufacturing issues.
    • Work with Service, QA, Application Support, Manufacturing, and Marketing groups.
    • Development of proper documentation to satisfy internal development procedures, FDA or regulatory quality system requirement.
    • Participate in Product Launch Teams and support the launching of new products into production.
    • Follow and improve corporate policies, processes, and standards.
    • Contribute to the improvement of user documentation and creation of Service Manuals.
    • Provide feedback to team on usability of the Audiometry and Tympanometry products
    • Work with minimal direction from assigned mentors.

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Ability to develop test procedures and test plans.
    • Familiar with Engineering Change processes.
    • Must be a “hands on" engineer.
    • Willingness to learn and apply industry standard requirements.
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Self-starter/self-initiator with the ability to learn the new skills required for the assigned tasks and/or projects.
    • Effective communication skills (written and verbal), organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to address quality issues, determine root cause and drive to a corrective action.
    • Strong PC skills, such as working with Excel/ Outlook/Word.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects at any given time.

    Experience and or Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree (BSCS) from a four-year college or university.
    • 2 to 4 years of related applicable experience.
    • Recent college graduates will be considered.
